Automatic Faxing - This feature
sends Patient results manually or automatically to a client's fax
machine.
Bar Code (Includes Allegro Bar Code Label
Printer) - With this option you can assign, print, and
accept specimen identification numbers readable by an Analyzer.
Turn-around time and lab efficiency is greatly improved.
Batch Requisitions - A useful feature
for labs with a large daily volume of specimens, this module allows
for convenient patient and specimen entry as well as test ordering
in a batch requisition, instead of individual accessing.

Export - SchuyLab patient information
can be transferred to a diskette, so that it can be read by another
system (i.e. A financial spreadsheet).
Dial-In-Results - Doctors may dial
into the SchuyLab system from their home or office with any modem
equipped PC. Utilizing common communication software, such as Hyperterminal,
ProComm, or PC Anywhere, patient results can be viewed from afar.
Medical Necessity - This will compare
ICD9 codes with the tests being ordered by the technician, evaluating
whether the test would be considered justified by the diagnosis,
therefore reimbursable. The database is user defined and updatable
(Users must enter in initial data, or purchase a database.)
Medical Necessity Database - Is
an augmentation to the Medical Necessity module, this database
includes over 130,000 CPT/ICD9 linkages from Medicode and the St.
Anthony's Guide to Code Linkage for Laboratory Services.
Microbiology - Sets up the microorganisms
Species to be reported by your lab. It allows sensitivities to
be linked to each organism.
Remote Printing - This provides
crisp clear copies of patient results to a special modem equipped
printer in a doctor's office. It can even print on the doctor's
own forms. (A dedicated phone line in the receiving office is required.)
