SchuyLab has the ability to connect to your other system to share
data with it. SchuyLab can accept orders and demographics from your
system and dynamically returns demographics and results back to it.
The transfer of information happens real-time, without anyone having
to take time away from their jobs to push buttons or run interfaces.
The information comes from your system into SchuyLab – you can
pull up your Draw List and the orders are already on it. When you
accept a result on SchuyLab that information is automatically transmitted
back to your system, where the doctors can look up the patient's
results.
SchuyLab even keeps track of add-ons and cancelled tests, making
certain that your billing is accurate and revenue for add-on tests
is not lost. Your life in the laboratory is easier and more efficient;
your facility is more profitable.
Most importantly, your doctors get patient results immediately,
improving the quality of patient care. In the past, the bottleneck
in patient care (drawing patients and delivering results) have revolved
around the difficulty in moving pieces of paper around a building:
several departments and individuals may have need of the same information
in order to provide effective patient care. Electronic medical records
can provide secured information to a dozen healthcare providers simultaneously.
And it is very difficult to spill coffee on an electronic report!
